How to deposit LSTs or dETH for kETH

Optimized yield for LST and dETH holders.

Overview

With the LST Optimizer dApp, you can deposit liquid staking tokens (LSTs) and dETH into the LST Vault to receive kETH. kETH represents a basket of LST and LSD assets that is algorithmically maintained, keeping a stable yield and price for kETH. You can learn more about how this works in our docs.

As of right now, supported LSTs and LSDs include stETH, rETH, cbETH, and dETH.

IMPORTANT NOTE: kETH can be redeemed for ETH or ETH equivalent.

Deposit LSTs or dETH for kETH

Step 1: Navigate to the LST Vault

First, navigate to the LST Optimizer dApp. From here, click on the vault box labelled “Deposit LSTs”.

HELPFUL TIP: You can turn on the Target APR toggle to see target yield rate that the LSD Vault’s automated account manager is aiming for.

Step 2: Deposit LSTs or LSDs

On the “Deposit” tab, select which LST or LSD token you want to deposit.

Once your desired token is selected, enter the amount you want to deposit, click “Confirm”, and complete the transaction in your wallet.

If you are prompted with a spending cap pop-up in your wallet, make sure to click “Max” to ensure that your transaction is successful.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Successful deposits will automatically send kETH to your wallet.

Redeeming kETH for ETH

If you want to redeem your kETH for ETH, you can do this on the “Withdraw” tab.

From here, use the slider to select the amount of kETH you want to redeem, click “Confirm”, and complete the transaction in your wallet.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If there is not enough ETH liquidity available, you will receive dETH.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You will have to wait for the kETH lockup period to end before you can withdraw your funds. The lockup timer resets to 15 minutes every time you deposit, withdraw, stake, unstake, or transfer kETH in the LST Optimizer dApp.
